what took yall so long?
forums, message boards, communities, what-ever you call them – have been around for some time now. you can still find mi digging for information and user opinions on forums, but getting mi to actually join one is a chore. i suck mi tongue when confronted with the entire process of singing up for yet, another message board! one can be thankful for the new wave of social networking and web 2.0 applications that reach beyond the limited capabilities of myspace and typical forums.
for those unaware of what a BBW is; Big Beautiful Woman – coined by a magazine for plus-sized women. our good friend wikipedia has a fairly accurate definition of the term and its history, and as with everything under the sun, it has its own community (also referred to as the size-acceptance community) — made up of BBWs, SSBBWs (Super-Sized BBW), BHMs (Big Handsome Men) and admirers (the category i would fit into). we have HUNDREDS of events, such as the annual BBW Vegas Bash, monthly nightclubs like Club Sinsations or the weekly Butterfly Lounge, and even a magazine that rivals the class and style of Playboy called, BODacious Magazine! the scene even boasts its own A-list with such names as; DJ Skelly, Los Angeles rapper Tree, and the world-famous Goddess Patty (who appeared on Jackass 2). i could go on about the infinty that is the BBW community, but i would like to tell you a bit about some of mi friends (old and new) that have recently found their way to our favorite twitterhood!

No matter what, I’ve never stopped being an open voice about not only my attraction to fat women, but also to my conviction of their rights to empowerment in all its forms. So, I find myself virtually (and sometimes physically) rubbing elbows with a wide cross-section of communities, from the activists to the social event coordinators to the swingers to the adult industry workers (on- and off-screen). As I said, I love fat women. But most of all, I also just love people — when I’m not pounding my head against the desk at some of their latest stupidities!

Bernie Mac dies @ 50. pour out a little liquor
Born Bernard Jeffrey McCullough on Oct. 5, 1957, in Chicago, Mac grew up on the city’s South Side. His publicist said he died Saturday from complications of pneumonia. He had suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease – chicago tribune.com
got the news in a txt message from mi lil cousin Meezy Banger. i thought he was bullshittin. but not even 20 minutes before posting this, i googled it and found it was true. this hella sucks.
Mr. Mac was one of mi favorite comedians. he 1st captured mi with his def comedy appearance when he so boldly stated “i aint scared of you motha fuckas!”. his movie characters left mi dying with laughter! remember the scene in Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood? Mac’s character was the self-hating police officer that was a parody of the black cop from Boys in the Hood. i havent laughed that hard in a while. “I HATE BLACK PEPPER!”
anyway, i never got the chance to see him perform LiVe. i would have seriously preferred to see him than Chris Rock any day.

Righteous Movement on KDVS Radio, Davis CA
tonight, mi crew Righteous Movement took over the airwaves on KDVS FM in Davis. it was good to hear mi dudes holdin it down . theek, sol tais, and skurge were freestylin, spittin live, and hosting (like DONNIE SIMPSON!). twas truly a good time. so much, i was compelled to call-in from Los Angeles and remotely kick it on the air.
it occurred pretty late to mi; i should record this. so i fired up sound forge and recorded the last 16mins or so. i know, i know. it aint the whole thang, but you can still vibe out as i did…

Wordle – user generated word clouds! sweet!
this morning, mi friendfeed caught a link submitted by marshal sandler that i thought i would share with yall. its a pretty cool site/script call Wordle. with this fun tool, users can create word clouds similar to tag clouds that are beautifully or randomly generated by either typing a bunch of random words or by entering a url with rss or atom. you can print the clouds or save them to the wordle gallery and share with the homies. the pic above shows a cloud i made by typing in mi url. i called it “in a nutshell”.
